Hotel Website Development Kathmandu
A clear, location-aware website for your rooms, arrival details and guest enquiries, with WhatsApp contact on every build. Websites start at NPR 34,999.
Why a Kathmandu Hotel Website Starts With the Area
A Kathmandu hotel website works best when it answers the questions guests have about the part of the Valley where they plan to stay. Someone comparing properties in Thamel may need to check what is within walking distance. A guest choosing Patan may want to understand the building and its setting. In our view, the first screen, the photographs and the enquiry route should reflect those differences, which is why we start from your location and guests rather than a generic hotel template.
Nepal recorded 1,147,548 tourist arrivals in 2024, and 89.23% of them came by air, according to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation's Nepal Tourism Statistics 2024. These national figures do not say where visitors stayed, which is why we look at the Valley area by area.
The Kathmandu Valley was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 with seven monument zones, including the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur and the Bauddhanath stupa. Thamel is not one of them.
Room pages, booking engines and online listings are covered in hotel website needs that apply anywhere in Nepal. This page concentrates on the Valley, and the wider service is described under website development in Nepal. Guests also have to find the property in the first place, which is the job of local SEO.
What Hotel Websites Need in Thamel, Patan and Bhaktapur
Thamel
A Thamel hotel website should lead with the exact position, room types and a clear enquiry route with WhatsApp, because guests choosing a base here are often weighing what they can reach on foot. In our 26 October 2026 Google Maps sample for "hotel in Thamel", most category tags were Hotel, with hostels, guest houses and bed and breakfasts a smaller share. In a list like that, the website that shows position and rooms at once saves the guest a step.
Patan
A heritage hotel website in Patan should make the setting tangible through the building's story, room photographs and clear directions, and explain day-use or event options only if the property offers them. On 26 October 2026 the Maps search for "heritage hotel in Patan" returned only seven listings, several with "heritage" in their names. TikTok captions about Patan stays included day-use wording.
Bhaktapur
A Bhaktapur hotel website needs the property's setting and story, clear room photographs and easy directions, plus a plain split between a day visit and an overnight stay so nobody has to guess what is offered. In the first 20 Google Maps results for "hotel in Bhaktapur", 26 of 32 category tags were lodging types, with Hotel appearing 15 times. The rest included restaurants, a cafe and a volunteer organisation.
What Hotel Websites Need in Boudha and the Airport Area
Boudha
Guests coming for the Bauddhanath stupa need to see how the property sits in relation to the stupa, along with quiet-room details and clear arrival information. Pilgrimage accounted for 14.5% of visits nationally in 2024, but that figure does not describe Boudha guests.
Airport area
Guests staying near the airport are often arranging a short stay around an arrival or departure, including a late check-in, so the page should put pick-up arrangements and late-arrival instructions near the top, with a quick enquiry route. The Google Maps search for "hotel near Kathmandu airport" returned six listings on 26 October 2026. With 89.23% of 2024 arrivals coming by air, arrival details are the part of the page that matters most here.
What We Found Researching Kathmandu Hotels
On 26 October 2026 we researched Kathmandu hotels from four directions: Google Maps searches for Thamel, Patan, Bhaktapur and the airport area, TikTok searches for the same places and for Boudha, the Hotel Association of Nepal member pages, and Nepal's national tourism statistics for 2024.
What we concluded is that the Valley is not one hotel market. Thamel results are mostly standard hotels, with hostels and guest houses a smaller share. Patan listings carry heritage in their names and TikTok captions mention day use. Bhaktapur results are mostly lodging, and the airport area has only six listings. Each area asks a guest a different first question, so each hotel website needs a different first screen.
These are samples, not counts of hotels. No official count exists by Valley area, the Hotel Association pages give no area breakdown, and the national statistics do not show where visitors stayed. We ran no Maps search for Boudha, so our Boudha guidance rests on the stupa's location and national pilgrimage figures. That is why the area sections above are our professional reading, and why every project starts with a review of your area.
How Direct Bookings Could Cover the Cost: An Example
Consider an illustrative example using assumptions, not Kathmandu hotel data. If your average room rate were NPR 6,000 a night, a direct booking for two nights would bring NPR 12,000 in room revenue. If that guest would otherwise have booked through a platform charging an assumed 15% commission, NPR 1,800 in commission would be avoided.
A Standard Website costs NPR 79,999, and twelve months of the Grow plan at NPR 3,999 a month brings the combined cost to NPR 127,987. At 72 such bookings, avoided commission would be NPR 129,600, which covers that amount. At 71 bookings, it would be NPR 127,800, which does not. Across twelve months, 72 bookings means six a month.
The Grow plan alone costs NPR 3,999 a month. Three such bookings would avoid NPR 5,400 in commission, while two would avoid NPR 3,600. This is not a forecast, not a Kathmandu rate and not a promise of bookings or savings. Replace the assumed room rate with your own to see how the example changes.

How a Kathmandu Hotel Project Runs
Discovery Meeting
We discuss your property, rooms, guests and what the website needs to do. Meet us at our office in Chandragiri-12, at your property anywhere within the Kathmandu Valley, or through WhatsApp or Zoom.
Area and Guest Review
We review the location and the questions guests may need answered first. We share our view of your area with you so that the proposed page structure reflects your property, rather than assuming every Kathmandu hotel needs the same layout.
Proposal
We prepare a proposal covering the site structure, design direction, build package, timeline and any monthly plan discussed during discovery. You receive it within 2 to 3 working days of the discovery meeting.
Build and Content
You supply the photographs, descriptions and prices. Once the deposit is confirmed and the content is in, a typical build takes 2 to 4 weeks. The schedule depends on the scope and how ready the content is, and a very large build can take months.
Review, Launch and Handover
You review the site on a staging version before launch, then we launch it on your hotel's own domain. Revisions are two rounds, or three for the Premium Website, and each round covers one combined list of changes. CMS training is included for packages that contain a CMS.
