Web Design Agency in Kathmandu for Hotels and Local Businesses
Website development, SEO and branding for Kathmandu hotels and local businesses, from a Chandragiri-12 team that begins with a discovery meeting to plan the work around your business.
A Kathmandu Agency You Can Talk To in Person
AlpineRoot is a web design agency in Kathmandu, based in Chandragiri-12. Your first meeting can take place at our office, at your property anywhere in the Kathmandu Valley, or by WhatsApp or Zoom, whichever is easier for you. Bring the business as it is today: the website you have or do not have, the customers you want more of, and what has not worked so far.
We work on three things. We handle website development in Kathmandu for hotels, shops and service businesses, and the wider service is described under website development in Nepal. We help local customers find those businesses through local SEO, which can include Google Business Profile and on-page work. We also design logos, packaging and brand identity through our branding service. Each starts with a conversation about what the business needs, so you get the work that fits, not a package chosen for you.
What We Build for Kathmandu Businesses
Websites for Hotels and Local Businesses
For hotels and guesthouses we build sites around rooms, photographs and a clear route to an enquiry by form or WhatsApp. For online shops, education providers and service businesses we build sites that show what they offer and take orders or enquiries. Sites built on a content management system (CMS) can be edited by the owner, and every package that includes a CMS comes with CMS training. Online payment through eSewa or Fonepay is scoped in the discovery meeting.
Local Search Visibility
When someone in the Valley searches for a business like yours, your Google Business Profile, your website and your listings should agree on name, hours and contact details. We handle Google Business Profile work, local SEO and on-page SEO so that a search can lead to an enquiry. SEO is steady work rather than a one-off fix, so we start with the searches closest to a booking or an order.
Branding, Logos and Packaging
We design logos, packaging and wider brand identity for businesses that want a consistent look across signage, packaging, website and social channels. Branding often starts alongside a new website, because the two should look like the same business. Scope and price are agreed after the discovery meeting.
How We Start the Conversation
Start in Person in the Valley
Most projects begin with a discussion at our office in Chandragiri-12, or at your business anywhere in the Valley, including Thamel, Patan, Bhaktapur, Boudha and the airport area. Talking in person makes it easier to understand the business, look at examples of our work and agree what the website needs to do.
Start Remotely From Anywhere in Nepal
If you are outside the Valley, or simply prefer it, the conversation can start on WhatsApp or Zoom, with the same discovery, proposal and review steps. We also have a separate location page for Pokhara.
What Heritage Hotels and Valley Resorts Need From a Website
Heritage Hotels in Patan and Bhaktapur
The Kathmandu Valley was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 with seven monument zones, including the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur and the Bauddhanath stupa. A heritage hotel there needs to tell the story of its building, show its rooms in photographs, explain how to reach it, and make the difference between a day visit and an overnight stay clear.
Resorts Around the Valley Rim
Resorts at places such as Nagarkot and Dhulikhel may take weekend and group guests from Kathmandu as well as international visitors, so the website has to serve both and handle group and event enquiries. We scope each resort project in a discovery meeting, starting with the guests the resort wants more of.
How We Work With Businesses in Kathmandu
A project starts with a discovery meeting. We ask what your business needs, who the website is for and what it should help people do, and we agree the deliverables before work begins. A proposal follows within 2 to 3 working days. After you accept it, a typical build takes 2 to 4 weeks from the confirmed deposit, once you have supplied the content. A very large build can take months. You review the work on a staging site before launch.
AlpineRoot started in 2025 and has delivered 20+ web development projects and 10+ SEO projects across Australia, Nepal and the USA. You can read about who we are and how we work on our about page.
Work We Have Delivered in Nepal and Abroad
Ecommerce, Branding and SEO: Lunera Rituals, Kathmandu
Lunera Rituals is a Kathmandu-based handmade soap and candle brand, and AlpineRoot delivered its ecommerce website, branding and full SEO. The shop holds 53 products, nine soaps and 44 candles, built on Next.js and Supabase with on-site checkout alongside WhatsApp ordering. It also carries shipping and returns information, a privacy policy, terms and a gift page for Dashain and Tihar.
Travel and Booking: Dream International Travel & Tours
AlpineRoot built the platform for Dream International Travel & Tours on Next.js and React, with a headless CMS, Supabase-backed media storage, a custom booking and ticketing system, lead collection and SEO-optimised pages. A travel business and a hotel share the same core need: a clear route from the first visit to a confirmed booking or enquiry.
Multiple Showrooms: DS AutoLink, Nepal
AlpineRoot built the website for the electric scooter dealership DS AutoLink on WordPress and Elementor, and worked on the Google Business Profiles for both showrooms, covering descriptions, services and WhatsApp as the chat channel. We also audited hours, addresses and phone numbers across Google and the website so each location shows the same details everywhere.
More Delivered Work: Finance, Moving Services and Photography
Finance: Gurans Laghubitta, Nepal
AlpineRoot built a multilingual website for the microfinance company Gurans Laghubitta on Next.js with Sanity CMS, and a testimonial published on our website states that the project was delivered on time. Presenting clear information in more than one language is also what a hotel with international guests needs.
Moving Services in Australia: NP Movers
AlpineRoot built a Next.js website for NP Movers with 113 suburb pages and 30 route pages. Each location page is planned around local information for that place, not a template with a changed place name.
Photography and Gallery: Laggyshutter
AlpineRoot built the portfolio and gallery website for Laggyshutter, a Nepal-based photography and drone team, on Next.js with Sanity CMS. An image-led site needs the strongest work first, clear organisation and fast loading on mobile, which is also what a hotel gallery needs.
How Our Experience Helps Kathmandu Businesses
A Clear Route From First Visit to Enquiry
Our work on the Dream International booking platform and the Lunera shop's WhatsApp ordering means we know how to keep the path from first visit to confirmation short and to ask only for the information the booking needs. A Kathmandu hotel or guesthouse gets the same discipline: rooms, rates and a visible enquiry route by form or WhatsApp.
The Same Details Everywhere Guests Look
Working across both DS AutoLink showrooms means we check that each location's name, address, hours and phone number match on Google and on the website. A Kathmandu business with more than one outlet, or with hours that change by season, gets the same check.
Pages Built on Real Local Information
Building 113 suburb pages for NP Movers taught us to add a location page only when it carries genuinely local information. The same rule shapes how we plan Kathmandu pages: the area, the customer and the details that belong to that place.
